VARIOUS EXPLORATION STAGES
TsNIGRI is involved in successful DPBM exploration as part of federal programs and for subsurface users.
Over the past two decades, TsNIGRI (as a general contractor) performed forecasting/prospecting, prospecting, evaluation and exploration works at more than 50 deposits. As a rule, works by the institute experts entailed new prospect localization with a view to further prospecting for diamonds, precious and base metals in Ural, Altai-Sayany, Yana-Kolyma, Karelia-Kola, Baikal-Vitim and other provinces, and discovery of new DPBM deposits. Geological structure of the unique Sukhoi Log deposit was updated, efficient ore processing flowsheet was developed, its reserve estimate was approved in the State Reserves Committee.
TsNIGRI experts were engaged in subcontract exploration at over 150 deposits; DPBM deposit prospecting and evaluation were both federally and subsurface user-funded.
Subsurface users were particularly interested in the institute experts involvement in intermediate exploration stages which allowed to rapidly evaluate the obtained results and develop recommendations for further works such as JSC ALROSA operations in the Northwestern region of Russia, LLC Industrial – Polar Urals № 9 operations in the North Urals, LLC Pechengageology operations in Murmansk region, Mongol Oil Shell Co., Ltd. operations in northwestern Mongolia, CJSC Zolotoy Rudnik operations in Guyana and many others.
Many years of successful exploration are attributed to vast experience of the institute experts and numerous scientific and applied technologies in metallogeny, DPBM deposit forecasting, prospecting and exploration.
This was the basis for deposit contracts implementation, high exploration performance, timely and high-quality reporting.
TsNIGRI expects new contracts from exploration companies for DPBM exploration in various Russian and foreign regions.
