Main activities

Forecasting-analytical and forecasting/revision studies in prospective mineralization zones based on complex analysis and geological, geophysical, geochemical data and fieldwork to recognize and validate forecasting-mineragenic and prospecting activities mostly at diamond, precious and base metal (DPBM) deposits;;
Compilation of geological and analytical materials validating new deposits;
Methodical support of federally funded contract exploration projects to reproduce DPBM mineral base (MB);
Evaluation of interim and final geological prospecting results including site visits;
Evaluation of proposals and new project validation as well as proposed changes in work types and scales for federal projects;
Compliance assessment of geological and methodical guidelines by DPBM deposits approved by technical (geological) program;
Proposals on formation and/or updating list of federally funded exploration projects to reproduce DPBM MB;
Expertise, revaluation and approval of DPBM inferred resources including data set replenishment and actualization in “ASLN” federal GIS;
Improvement of DPBM forecasting, prospecting and evaluation methods and technologies, validation of DPBM exploration technologies and procedures, particularly for partly exposed DPBM deposits, and their introduction within promising areas of Siberia, Far East and other Russian regions combined with material compilation for methodical guidelines;
Geological prospecting, thematic and experimental methodical works targeting precious metals as part of public contracts;
Methodical support of precious metal prospecting;
Data composition to form the precious metals’ basis of mineral base sustainable development programs at the federal, regional and territorial levels;
Review of proposals from territorial authorities, geological enterprises and mining companies on geological prospecting, setting the priorities and sequence of precious metal prospecting at various stages;
Compilation of mineragenic and forecast metallogenic maps for gold;
Expertise and approval of gold and silver reserves and inferred resources by different-scale metallogenic taxons and the Russian Federation subjects;
Compilation of specialized databases on precious metal metallogeny;
Consulting geological organizations and mining companies on the department activities;

Rosnedra federal contract (03.06.2013). Prospecting for large-tonnage gold mineralization hosted by carbonaceous terrigenous sequences within the Yenisei, Baikal-Patom and Verkhoyansk-Kolyma gold provinces
Yakutnedra federal contract (30.03.2012), project 111-77. Local forecast for new morphological types of poorly eroded and concealed gold-quartz deposits to identify prospecting sites in the central Verkhoyansk-Kolyma metallogenic province
Dalnedra federal contract (04.06.2012), project 111-87. Local forecast for large-tonnage gold mineralization associated with granitoid stocks within Priiskovaya, Chistaya, Asanskaya, Delyankirskaya and other areas of the Central Kolyma district, Magadan region
Federal contract with Yakutnedra (13.05.2013). Prospecting to discover new geological and economic types of gold mineralization within Lebedinsky ore placer cluster.
Federal contract with Centersibnedra (06.06.2013). Prospecting for ore gold in carbonaceous-terrigenous sequences, southern Bodaibo ore district (Irkutsk region)
